Can transactions in zones in this area be stopped? Extended? Why or why not?
You can stop a session early when you leave the parking area, but you will still be charged the appropriate parking fee for the time used, according to the rate structure in your area. If you do not stop your session early it will automatically expire at the time noted when you started the session. This DOES NOT mean you will only be charged for the time you are there. It means that you will be charged according to the parking operators rate schedule based on the amount of time you were there. Example: If your lot offers rates such as a day or weekend rate and you start a session at 8:00 a.m. that is set to expire that evening at 6:00 p.m. and you manually stop your session early at 1 p.m. that afternoon - you will be charged the full day rate, just as if you let the session automatically expire at 6:00 p.m., as there are no hourly rates.
You are not able to extend your parking sessions as all sessions expire at specific times. Zones allow for early bird, day, night, and weekend rates, which are set to expire at specific times according to the time frame in which you are parking. If you need more time beyond the automatic deactivation time, you MUST start a new session when it expires in order to pay for additional time.
