Can transactions in zones in this area be stopped? Extended? Why or why not?

You can stop a session early if you do not need the entire time available, and you will be charged the appropriate parking fee for the time used, according to the rate structure in your area. If you do not stop your session early it will automatically expire at the time noted when you started the session. This DOES NOT mean you will only be charged for the time you are there. It means that you will be charged according to the parking operators rate schedule based on the amount of time you were there. Example: If your lot offers several rates such as 2-hour, day, and overnight and you start a session at 8:00 a.m. that is set to expire the next morning at 2:59 a.m. and you manually stop your session early at 9:30 a.m. that same morning - you will be charged the 2-hour rate. Your session lasted less than 2 hours in a lot that offers a 2-hour rate. You won't be charged merely for the 1.5 hours you were there, but rather the 2-hour rate they offer.

You are not able to extend your parking sessions as all sessions expire at specific times. Some zones allow for early bird or day rates, while some carry over to overnight rate to expire in the morning (at the lots this is called "rate reset"). Some zones expire at 2:59 a.m. and some expire at 5:59 a.m. If you start a parking session that is a day rate and expires at 6:00 p.m., or an overnight rate that expires at 2:59 a.m. for example, you MUST start a new session when it expires in order to pay for additional time.
