The Parkmobile transaction fees are waived in your parking area. The University absorbs the cost of the transaction fee, so you only pay the standard daily parking rate when using Parkmobile, just as you do when you pay at the parking areas.
When registering for pay by phone parking service with Parkmobile via our website you're given two membership options: "ParkmobilePro Membership", which carries with it a monthly fee, and "Basic Membership", which has no monthly fee. In your area, it currently makes the most sense for you to select the ‘Basic Membership’ instead of the ‘ParkmobilePro Membership’. Since your transaction fees are waived, you wouldn’t get the biggest advantage of a lowered transaction fee anyway. In the future there will be many more benefits included with the ‘ParkmobilePro Membership’ which may influence your decision to choose it for a monthly fee instead of the no monthly fee ‘Basic Membership’
By default when you register via any other method other than the website, your membership level is set to "Basic Membership".
Additionally, there is no cost to download one of our mobile apps and no cost to register via a mobile app or online.
Parkmobile payments do not integrate with the meters in this area. While your payment will not show on the meter, the officer will use your license plate number and zone number to view your Parkmobile payment on a handheld device. As such, please make sure to add any additional license plate numbers to your account before creating a parking session in order to make sure your parking transactions are correctly created.
It is critical to input the correct information so enforcement can see your payment. If you have a temporary license plate, just go ahead and enter that temporary number. However, if you have a temporary plate with no computer generated tag number or if you have a dealer tag or new vehicle with no tag yet, enter the last 8 characters of your Vehicle Identification Number (VIN). If enforcement identifies that your parked vehicle doesn't have a license plate number, he or she will locate your VIN and enter the last 8 characters to attempt to locate your payment in the Parkmobile system.
Zone numbers are a critical part of your transaction and must be recorded correctly in order for your parking session to be identified correctly by the parking enforcement officers. Zone numbers usually vary by lot but at the LMU campus all lots use the same Parkmobile zone number. Also, you can pay with Parkmobile using the correct zone number and move from visitor lot to visitor lot without having to pay again (as long as you are still within the time frame for which you paid.)
In all visitor parking lots where Parkmobile is offered at LMU the zone number is 961.
The Parkmobile toll-free phone number to reach the automated system to register and/or start or extend your parking sessions is: 877-727-5932 (877 PARK 932). If you are parking at Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles, CA and call any other Parkmobile phone number you will be at risk parking in a zone in the wrong geographical area and the parking officers in your area wouldn't see your parking payment in that case.
The credit cards accepted in your area are: Visa, MasterCard and Discover
You can not stop a session once started. You must select the amount of time you want in advance and pay for that time with your credit card. If you chose more time than you needed, you will not be able to stop the session or get a refund.
You are able to extend your parking time, if you see that you need more than the amount you initially paid for, as long as you haven't already chosen the maximum allowed. In order to extend a transaction it must still be active and not yet expired. Example: if the maximum is 12 hours, and you chose 1 hour, you can then extend your session before it expires for up to an additional 11 hours. Note that extensions are separate transactions, and therefore each extension carries a transaction fee as well.
Parkmobile does not own, operate, manage or enforce the parking areas. We don’t issue tickets and we can’t remove them for you.
