How to Spot Scams, Fraud or Phishing

We've learned of several sites pretending to be ParkMobile or its affiliates to steal customers' credit card details. Fraudulent efforts can cause worry, and your safety remains our primary concern.

Sometimes, when customers search for "Parkmobile" through their web browser instead of visiting the official ParkMobile.io website or downloading the legitimate app from their app store, they risk registering a fake account and entering their credit card information. Some customers have also reported seeing fake QR codes on ParkMobile signs or stickers, which redirect to scam sites. Please take a look at the example images below.

Fraud or Phishing websites

Scam registration confirmation

Remember, if you see any website domain other than Parkmobile.io, don't click it or register there!

Phishing via SMS

Scammers may send text messages asking you to click a link to complete a payment. Do not believe these fraudulent texts!

Please note: Parkmobile will never send private customers payment links or sensitive information via SMS. Instead, we always guide you in using the app. If you are ever uncertain of a text, delete it and do not tap any links.

Phishing via Email

Parkmobile never sends emails to private customers about outstanding payments. This means you can assume that any email providing website payment links is a scam. Please delete the email immediately and do not click anything within it. We strongly advise against clicking on any links you may receive.

If you have clicked on any links

If you have already clicked a link and entered your information on a spam website, we suggest you contact your bank as soon as possible. They can help secure your account and minimize any potential risk.

Do I have any outstanding payments to Parkmobile?

Since parking sessions are paid for upfront immediately when you start parking, it is rare to have an outstanding balance. However, if a payment declines or there is an error, you can see this information on your card or the Parkmobile app. It's completely safe to open the app directly and manage your payment details or parking history there.

You can also easily check for unpaid parking fees directly in the app.
